Our Lucy AAC family is lucky enough to have incredible, dedicated volunteers who give up their time to support our work. Their varied skill set and contribution to our work gives our charity the chance to grow so we can start thinking bigger and plan for the future.
Volunteers’ Week is a great chance to say thank you to these wonderful volunteers and celebrate all their achievements. We have showcased some of our current volunteers below, but if you have ever donated your time or skills to our Charity – we sincerely thank you!
Terry (or two-teabag-Terry as we call her), has been at Lucy for over three years. Although she has recently moved on to another opportunity, she still volunteers every Monday afternoon to support the team with admin and finance, and is a regular cheerer at our challenge events. We would truly be lost without her. Thank you for all your hard work Terry!
Sue and Sharon champion the Lucy AAC name at their workplace – Houlihan Lokey. They have been instrumental in raising over £15,000 over the past year. From ensuring employees are aware of their companies match funding policies, to getting a team of 22 employees to take part in Touch Mudder – and that took some REAL convincing! Thank you Sue and Sharon for everything you have done to raise our profile and get your colleagues involved with Lucy AAC.
Denis from Hobs Repro supports Lucy AAC by helping us with our printing and marketing materials enabling us to spend more money on our service and less on marketing. He always talks so highly of our Charity and has inspired us to think more innovatively with our outreach. Thank you Denis for helping us reach new audiences and for always propelling us forward.
Could you volunteer your time or skills to Lucy AAC? We have lots of ways for you to get involved:
- Spend a weekend cheering on our Lucy AAC challenge participants or get involved yourself!
- Donate your skills or connections to our work – are you an expert in social media? Can you help us find support from local businesses?
- Volunteer in our London office – we each wear many hats in this office but to have an extra pair of hands would be a brilliant help!
- Volunteer at one of our festive collections – bring a Santa hat and your best singing voice!
