Event management company, Wonderful Communications, chose Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) to be the beneficiary of their annual Christmas Toy Party raising over £1,400 for the charity.
Held at the brand new Bankside Hotel, the party invited corporates from around the Southwark area to attend and bring a toy to be donated to Lucy AAC and the Royal London Hospital Children’s Ward. 78 attendees enjoyed free drinks and nibbles, along with incredible raffle prizes donated by Bankside Hotel and Flight Centre.
During the evening, Lucy AAC trustee Emma Earl introduced guests to the charity’s work, followed by Sue Fenton from Houlihan Lokey who spoke about her experience working with Lucy AAC as a charity partner. The highlight of the night for many guests was hearing Elly’s story – Alexander’s Mum. She shared her experience of being helped by Lucy AAC when her baby was born five weeks early whilst she was on holiday with her family in Cornwall. Through her story, it was clear to everyone in the room the impact that Lucy AAC has on families in unforeseeable situations. Elly’s speech prompted a rush of raffle ticket sales and donations, raising over £1,400 for the charity.
