We are excited to announce that Michelle Elman will be joining the Lucy AAC family as an ambassador to help promote our Charity’s vital work.
Michelle is an accomplished life coach and TV, radio and social media personality. She has a staggering 300,000 followers across her social media channels and has used her incredible voice to create successful campaigns to promote self-love and mental health.
Michelle is now joining the Lucy AAC family as an ambassador to help promote the vital work of our small charity. As a child, Michelle needed an air transfer to access specialist treatment that saved her life. She understands first-hand what our children and families are going through and knows the huge impact an air transfer can have.
Michelle says:
“Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) is a charity that is close to my heart. Having undergone 15 surgeries before the age of 20, I was reliant upon life-saving transfers that took me across the world to the only person at the time who could diagnose me and save me. My parents were in the position to be able to afford this and it is only because of this, that I am alive today. Being born into a family that was able to provide this for me was frankly luck and it is an opportunity that every child deserves to have access to. Lucy AAC is helping make that possible. Having access to better healthcare, and the specialists you need in urgent moments is often the difference between life and death, and the fact that Lucy AAC provide this service with so much compassion is important. It is a scary process for both the child and family involved and knowing that they are in the hands of people who care so deeply makes the difference. I still remember the fear I had when I was going through my surgeries, especially when I was younger and didn’t have the language to articulate how I felt so the support that Lucy AAC provide post-surgery is also of equal importance and I couldn’t be more thankful for the work that they do. It is my absolute privilege to be an ambassador for them and champion the work that they do so that more people are aware of their brilliance!”
We are delighted to have Michelle join the Lucy AAC family and look forward to working with her.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing supporter Carla who introduced Michelle to our Charity. We are so grateful for your important role in making this partnership happen!
