Houlihan Lokey raise £51,000 for Lucy AAC in 90 minutes!

115 employees from Houlihan Lokey and 50 of their friends and family came together to raise £51,110 for Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) by taking part in a socially distanced treasure hunt.

Employees from Houlihan Lokey offices across Europe were invited to take part in The 90 Minute Dash, a socially distanced treasure hunt, on Saturday 20th March for Lucy AAC. Each team was challenged to find and take a selfie with a list of 60 items which they had to find in their local area within 90 minutes.

The Houlihan Lokey Foundation committed to donate $500 directly to Lucy AAC for each employee that took part in the challenge. With 115 employees taking part and some very generous donations, they raised £51,110 in just 90 minutes making it our biggest fundraiser ever!

The investment firm has been a corporate partner of Lucy AAC since 2018. The firm launched this event to help Lucy AAC tackle the continued impact of Covid-19 on our Charity’s funding.

When the pandemic began in 2020 and Lucy AAC faced a funding crisis with a forecasted 80% drop in annual funding and faced the real possibility of having to cease operating, this dedicated firm sprung in to action and raised £49,053 for Lucy AAC by taking on an employee danceathon.

Through both events, Houlihan Lokey have donated over £100,000 to help our charity navigate through this crisis. With their help we have been able to respond to 100% of NHS referrals and fly every child who needed an aeroplane transfer to hospital during this pandemic.

Houlihan Lokey have ensured that we will be here for the children who need us in 2021 and we cannot thank them enough for their continued generous support.

We would like to say a special thank you to Ruth Hansen, Francesca Danielsen and Vanessa from Secret London Runs for helping us put this incredible event together.

We loved this event so much that we are going to host our own socially distanced treasure hunt on Sunday 25th April! If your friends, family or colleagues would like to take part in this event, please sign up here:
