Simpson Thacher and Bartlett
Throughout our Charity of the Year partnership we ran a series of tailored events for Simpson Thacher and Bartlett (STB) London employees including a company quiz and a Photographer of the Year competition.
STB London raised enough funds to fly 3 children to hospital, including Henry. Due to a rare respiratory condition, Henry could only be transferred to a hospital closer to home on a Lucy AAC plane. Read his story here.
"We first heard about Lucy Air Ambulance for Children from a colleague whose nephew, Benjamin, was born prematurely at 33 weeks away from home and needed urgent critical care from Kingston Hospital. A distance of over 170 miles meant road transportation was not a viable option and so Benjamin was Lucy’s first transfer. Therefore, when the London office was looking for a charity to support and partner with in 2017, Lucy was certainly on our minds. As soon as we met representatives of the charity and they explained the much needed help they give to children and families in need, their stories instantly struck a chord within our hearts. There was an overwhelming response and sense of determination from the office to help such a worthwhile cause and be a part of the life-changing impact they have on those they support. We are extremely excited and proud of our partnership and have many exciting plans for the year ahead."
