121 employees from Houlihan Lokey came together to raise over £49,000 for Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) by taking part in a virtual charity dance marathon.
Employees from Houlihan Lokey offices across Europe were invited to take part in a Euro-Dance-Vision Challenge on Friday 17th April for Lucy AAC. They were challenged to dance or work out together virtually for two hours non-stop over Zoom, a video conferencing app.
The investment firm, that has been a Lucy AAC corporate partner since 2018, launched this event in response to the devastating impact of COVID-19 on Lucy AAC. Our Charity faced a funding crisis with a forecasted 80% drop in annual funding and faced the real possibility of having to cease operating. This sprung the dedicated firm into action.
The Houlihan Lokey Foundation committed to donate $500 directly to Lucy AAC for each employee that took part in the challenge. With 121 employees taking part, they raised £49,053 in just one night making it our biggest fundraiser ever!
Through this virtual event Houlihan Lokey has helped ensure that once the coronavirus crisis has ended, that we are still here for the children that need us.
We would also like to say a special thank you to Ruth Hansen, Francesca Danielsen, Patrick Schoennagel and Elly Stanley for helping put this amazing event together.
Could your company support Lucy AAC with a virtual event? We would love to hear any ideas you have!
