Become a Homemade Hero – Lucy Air Ambulance for Children

There’s no need to be a marathon runner to become a Homemade Hero – this title is for all ages, abilities and interests because YOU get to decide your Homemade Hero challenge!

All our fundraising events have either been cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19. Whilst we are hopeful many of these events will go ahead at a later date, we need some extra support right now to ensure our service can continue for the children that need us.

That is why we are calling on all Home Heroes to choose a challenge to support Lucy AAC during this crisis – all from the comfort of your own home! Whether you take on a sponsored silence, hold a virtual workout class or danceathon, or see how long you can keep a balloon in the air, you will be raising money to fly seriously ill babies and children to hospital.

Kaia & Evie

Kaia (12) and Evie (7) lived in their playhouse at the bottom of the garden for 26 hours to raise funds for Lucy AAC. They painted their playhouse, had snacks and a takeaway delivered to them and stayed overnight. Together they raised over £1,200 for Lucy AAC!

David

David was supposed to be taking on the London Marathon but as it has been postponed until later in the year, David decided to take on a challenge at home by running 2.6 miles every day for 26 days – more than double the distance of a marathon. He has raised over £600 for Lucy AAC!
