Over the weekend of Saturday 31st July – Sunday 1st August 2021, 11 supporters raised £11,501 for Lucy Air Ambulance for Children (Lucy AAC) through various challenge events.
Teri and Lyla raised £1,882 by jumping out a plane on Saturday 31st July. This unstoppable duo completed a parachute jump in memory of their grandson/nephew Sebastian who we flew last year. If that wasn’t incredible enough, Teri completed this challenge despite being scared of flying!
Lucy and Eric separately took on Tough Mudder Yorkshire over the weekend. They tackled 13 brutal obstacles and a bucket load of mud to raise over £423 for Lucy AAC!
Then on Sunday 1st August, seven amazing supporters – Nicola, Kevin, John, Ben, Chris, Mary and Michelle – ran London Landmarks Half Marathon and raised £9,196 for Lucy AAC. Some of our runners had been waiting almost two years to run this half marathon, and finally had the chance to experience this iconic route last Sunday. It was such a special event!
Together, over one weekend our incredible supporters raised a total of £11,501 for Lucy AAC. We are so grateful for all their individual challenges and contributions to this incredible total. They have raised more than enough to fund a child’s transfer to hospital by aeroplane. Their fundraising will be life-changing for a seriously ill child and their family.
